About the Spoken Word Musical
She Spoke, and Heaven Moved
A Spoken Word Musical Experience
On March 14, audiences will gather at Moving in the Spirit Theatre for a powerful one-night pop-up presentation of She Spoke and Heaven Moved — an original spoken-word musical that reimagines the women of the Bible through the voices of modern Black women.
Blending poetry, music, movement, and theatrical storytelling, the production gives voice to eight iconic biblical women whose stories of faith, resilience, healing, and legacy still echo today. Each woman steps forward not as a distant figure from scripture, but as a living reflection of strength, struggle, courage, and divine purpose.
In honor of Women’s History Month, this immersive experience bridges ancient text with contemporary truth — honoring the wisdom of our grandmothers, the boldness of today’s women, and the legacy being shaped by the next generation.
This is not just a show.
It is a spiritual encounter.
It is storytelling elevated.
It is a celebration of a woman’s voice.
We Fika Films proudly support this production as the debut of their first women-led project. As an independent entertainment company, we focus on stories by and about women. Our mission is to amplify women’s voices and challenge traditional storytelling norms with bold, thoughtful work.
Fika is a Swedish tradition—a moment to pause for reflection and connection. That spirit is central to everything we do.
