Joy Black is an award-winning, classically trained violinist and versatile performer known for delivering top-tier live performances at high-profile events and for global audiences. Combining classical technique with Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B, she creates a refined yet culturally rich sound for every stage

 

Most notably, Joy was invited to honor Atlanta’s first woman mayor, former Mayor Shirley Franklin, with a live performance during a historic street renaming ceremony. She has also recognized influential cultural figures, including Martin Luther King III, Sadhguru, Common, Zaytoven, DJ Drama, members of the Ethiopian royal Makonnen family, and many others, through performances at high-profile awards shows and major industry events.

 

Her career includes high-profile appearances such as a featured performance in Latto’s Youngest N Richest music video and a live performance at Latto’s NPR Tiny Desk concert. Joy has also performed at major events for ESSENCE Magazine, Ford Motor Company, Gatorade, Sheen Awards, Super Bowl 53, and more.
