Laketa is a dynamic actress and multi-talented performer whose work spans film, television, and theater. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she brings depth, charisma, and range to every role.

She’s appeared in hit series including Doom Patrol (DC Universe), Genius: Aretha (NatGeo), and Step Up: High Water (YouTube Red). A national semi-finalist on American Idol Season 3, her powerhouse vocals have earned her roles on screen and stage. LaKeta’s film credits include Coming 2 America (Paramount), Doggone (Netflix), and Killer Reunion (Lifetime). On stage, she’s starred in Dreamgirls, Cheezecake Boiz and the Diva, and as a lead vocalist in Zurich’s Circus Conelli.

Trained under Sara Mornell and Marishka Phillips, she’s skilled in the Chubbuck and Susan Batson techniques. Also trained in dance, martial arts, modeling, and public speaking.

LaKeta continues to empower youth through her role as “Princess Zury, ” a symbol of strength, joy, and imagination.
